Through the process of a work/functional assessment using a battery of occupational therapy assessment tools and standardised tests. This process enables us to assist in determining the impact a patients mental health or diagnosis has had on their cognitive, psychosocial and physical function. This ultimately determines the effect their current deficits will have on their ability to carry out their activities of daily living and various roles within their family, home and work environments.

Return to work focuses on skills to aid in improving cognitive skills such as memory, attention, problem solving and other higher order executive functioning.

A graded and a tailor made plan can be drawn up to assist the return to work process.

Beneficial elements of work (e.g. social contact, structure, meaningful daily activity) are incorporated in the return to work plan in order to facilitate recovery. Reasonable accommodations within the workplace can be recommended.
